ROxy Community Church
Our Story
Roxy Community Church began with a simple conviction: that the love of Christ compels us toward "the least of these" (Matthew 25:37–40).
In 2020, that conviction took shape as The Roxy Centre — founded by a group of dedicated leaders through the Christian and Missionary Alliance's New Ventures program, with a mission to meet people in their need, without condition or agenda, and to offer connection, support, and dignity to our neighbours in north Halton.
As The Roxy Centre grew, it became clear that its mission wasn't separate from the church's mission, it was the same mission. In 2026, the church recognized this and made it official: adopting the name Roxy Community Church, and putting into words the core values that had already been shaping the work, values of grace, unity, connection, and practical love.
We are a developing church within the Christian and Missionary Alliance, called to be fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, and to bring God's love to people who are hurting and lost. We are a place of mercy and generosity, meeting people where they are, offering connection, support, and dignity through practical resources, relational care, and community programs. Grounded in reverence for God and shaped by the character of Christ, we exist to love our neighbours well.
The Roxy Centre is the hands and feet of that calling, the way our church lives out its mission in the day-to-day life of our community. It isn't a separate project running alongside the church; it is the church's mission in action, born first and named second. Together, they carry one shared purpose: to love our community well, and to create spaces of connection, dignity, and support for the glory of God and the good of our neighbours.
